DID YOU KNOW....
That if you are going to make pictures black and white, then the rules for pictures are differnt? Particularly headshots for girls. I will share with you some rules on black and white photography.
BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOGRAPHY
Foundation: more coverage; even tone
Powder: Translucent: use pleanty throughout the shoot
Blush:Small amount of light shade on cheekbone
Eye Shadow:Matte Colors only; no shimmer or brights. Contour and Highlight neutral shade
Eye liner: line for eye definition.
Eyebrows:short strokes with pencil or brush
Concealer: more than day wear under eyes
Lip Liner: Shade darker than lipstick; correct lip shape if necessary
Lipstick:no pinks; day time lipstick
Lip Gloss: highlight center bottom lip
Highlighter: Use foundation, powder, lighter to highlight
Lowlighter:recede or hide areas
WHAT DO YOU REMEMBER
* Think tone and shading, not colors
This picture was taken knowing it would be black and white photography.
When I show you what the make up really looked like it looks horrible
for a color picture.
See how awful this one looks? Well that's why it is in black and white.
This is very interesting Annie. I have never thought of this. I don't think you look awful though. You look good in both. But I see where you are going with it. It makes sense. Great Post!
ReplyDeleteInteresting how the rules change. I did not know this. Once again the Happy Homemaker has truly taught me something cool.
