Sandlot Sandlot Sandlot!!

(Ok, I know I still have to post about New York, but I'm working on it I have a draft going on. It just takes forever so I want to do this post real quick.)


My friend Hannah who is in my ward, she just graduated and is going to BYU this year, anyway, me and her both LOVE the movie "The Sandlot." Like no joke- every Girls Camp when we have S'mores, one of just starts quoting it and the other one of us just responds without even thinking about it. But we can quote any scene-especially when we go on hikes we just go on forever practically saying the whole movie. Anyway, we have been talking about doing this FOREVER. (Hahaha that's funny if you've seen the movie.) And we finally did! We went to Scottie Smalls's and Benny's house!!! And we went to the actual Sandlot. If someone would have seen us in the car as we were approaching both of these sites you would have thought we were going to Disney Land. To make the mood better I played the song that is in the opening scene of the movie than started quoting away. It was really awesome to think they were actually right there!

In the movie, his house is pink but I promise this is it!

Shout out to Becky!

I don't even know how to start! The day I read on Becky's blog that they would be moving I got mad at her! Even ask Becky hahaha. As you can see by the pictures we have been best friends for...from as soon as I was born I guess! Becky is always SO nice. I don't know how she is nice ALL the time!

In a Nutshell

I just did everything I've wanted to do my whole life-in a week. Went to New York and saw some shows on BROADWAY!!!! I took a bazillion photos, so when I organize it all more posts to come. Basically this is how it worked out. So in 2009 a couple James and Sara moved into our ward and Sara was pregnant with their first baby. A few weeks later Charlotte was born and they were called as our Sunday School teachers! They were the best. James is basically Jesse's favorite person. He's hilarious. Matt and Jake loved James as well and all 4 of us were in the same class for a year maybe.  So that's how I know this family. A year ago this summer they moved to New Jersey for work. And a month a go just had another baby. So I've been wanting to go out and visit them ever since... basically since they moved. I almost went last spring break but I couldn't work it out in time. So this time just worked because Sara wasn't working and I could help with the kids and she had time to take me to New York! It was a dream trip. But seriously when I saw the skyline I felt like I was in one of those dreams where when you wake up you feel really wierd because you can't tell if it was real or not.  Believe me. Detailed posts with too many pictures to come.

But in a nutshell....

I believe it was July 22 or 23. Got the plane ticket. :)
