Groove
Today for my Young Women activity, we had a combined activity with the young men. One of my leaders is a dance teacher, and we had a Groove workshop. I didn't know how it would be but it was one of the funnest things ever! Especially the young men leaders were hilarious. She just showed us differnt dance steps, hip hop, break dance, popping it, and we did a little choreography to a song too. We did "soul train" and everything. The young men leaders are hilarious to watch! It was so fun to see everybody doing this hip hop dance. Great fun. I love my ward so much! They are the best!

Rehersals
Well, I have had a busy week of rehersals for CATS this week. I have basicaly been there from around 330 or 4 every day, and leave at 830 9. Last night during rehersal, I just was getting SO weak. It wasn't like weak because I was just tired, it was how you feel when you get sick. My legs KILL. Because as a cat you are always sitting in the most uncomfortable positions! And my feet kill because I am always jumping or something and your feet get really sore! I was getting way tired and I just couldn't preform at all. I got picked up 30 minutes early. As soon as I got home, I litterally went straight to bed. And last night I started to get a congested nose, and I was REALLY mad about that. I had a cold when I auditioned for CATS and for the first couple of weeks, and I had finally gotten better. Then I have to get a nasal congestion when I am this close to opening! The ironic thing is I really need to rest but I can't because I have rehersal, and I think the late rehersals is what is making me sick! At least I don't have school on Friday so I can rest then. Just hope my congestion goes away!

Wonka
Just finished the play Willie Wonka at my school. Glad it's over. Honestly my school doesn't do good plays. I just thought I should do it.( Hence my earlier posts on activities! ) But I had more fun than I thought I would. Met new people, laughed alot, and had fun. I was Mrs. Gloop, Agustus's mom. I had a german accent. It was pretty funny. Me and all the other "main" characters got good at adlibing on certain scenes. It was just funny. Glad it's over though! It was hard to have a show of Willie Wonka, then the next morning go to Cats rehersal. Too quick of a transition. Now I can just focus on Cats. But now that Wonka is finally over, I have Cats rehersal every night. Its fun though. Way tiring! Have a good week! :)

On Activities
Ya know, if you enjoy doing something, I think you should do it. I wish people did or didn't do activities because it was cool or not cool. If you like to play soccer, play soccer. If you want to be in the band, be in the band. You wanna sing? be in choir. If you enjoy academic challenges, do academic games, if you're good at dance, join dance at school.
This is how it is at my school for example..our dance team is like really bad, I'm not saying a jr high dance team should be amazing, but they are way bad. And I have a ton of friends who have taken dance like all their lives, but they don't want to join because it's bad. ???????Does this make sense? Do they not get that there is so many of them that the dance team would be GOOD if they did it.That is just one example. I don't know I guess when things have their reputation it's hard to change it. I just wish people would do what they wanted to do and not to it because people will make fun of them if they do it. The people making fun probably can't to squat themselves. Kind of sad, that somebody won't join this or won't join that even if they want to. That is just my opinion anyway. Afterall this blog is called "Me and my thoughts!"

Hypocrite
Hypocrites are just the worst. I never realized how mad they made me. Matt always plays the piano really loudly when I am trying to go to bed. I tell my mom to tell him to stop and shes like he can play for a few more minutes. We're talking 10:30 at night here. So tonight at 9:20! I was playing guitar, which IS NOT as loud as the piano, especially not when Matt plays. So Matt is like Annie I am trying to go to bed. He goes and tells my mom and she is like oh your not aloud to play after 9. OOOOH so now the rule changed. Now that Matt is trying to go to bed. Matt always plays piano later than me, so he shouldn't be telling me to stop playing when its 9 20.

"Shoot for the moon, even if you miss you'll land among the Stars"
I think that one big mistake people make is giving up. Why? Well probably for many differnt reasons. It is easier to just give up. People tell you you will never make it, can't do it. It isn't easy for a baseball player to sprint all the time and work his tail off for the day of tryouts. He has to go through pain every day. It isn't easy for ballerinas to spend hours on end everyday doing ballet. It would be easier if they didn't have to do the extra effort, go the extra mile. It would be easier if you didn't have run a race. It would be easier to do a 5k rather than a 10k. It would be easy to not to the race at all. It would be easier to not go to dance anyway. It is easy to say, well its not like I will be a professional this or a professional that.
Why why why? Well I could look back now and say, well I took dance when I was little, and if I didn't quit that I would be alot better now. But if I quit now then in 5 years I will wonder how good I could have been. You can look back and say, if I would have started running sooner I would be in a much better place to be. But the same thing is going to happen eventually if you don't keep going right now! Never stop what you can do. People have a lot of potential, and it is the silliest thing to blow it off. Just don't give up. If a young kid has this dream to be an NBA basketball player. He's practicing everyday, does Jr high ball, does High School. Makes it to college basketball. But he doesn't make it to the NBA. It wasn't easy getting there. It's not easy getting on the high school team or the college team, but look where he landed among. Alot better than any other kid who gave up when they were in Jr. High. Be the best you can be and don't compare yourself to other people.

Everybody Knows!
It seems to be that everybody who knows me, knows that I am a Donny fan. I was just strolling down memory lane, and I will share with you what I remember- other people and myself- Osmond stories.
~In the 6th grade, the same year Marie was on Dancing With The Stars,Every week my teacher would tell the whole class to vote for her. She had the whole class write down their class email address, so I could make an ABC acount with their address, and vote for her with their accounts so I could vote more times. Every week we chatted about Marie on the show.
~This girl who I was in my first play with, Narnia, but she was never in any shows again. So it was about a year later and she called me. Remember I havn't talked to her for a year at this point. And she goes " Annie! You will never guess who I just saw at Disneyland...Donny Osmond!" I was so glad she called me, and I couldn't believe she remembered.
~For my friend birthday party in 6th grade I recieved........A Donny Osmond Live concert video, three CDS, A photo album of pictures of him, and his book.
~ For Christmas I got the Donny and Marie Show and a mirror that opens and closes with Donny on the cover.
~Watching the movie Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Friends houses.
~ I remember getting sevral calls when I was in 5th and 6th and 7th grade from my friends. Annie! Donny is on channle 2! Or a text...turn to channel 4 right now. Another call...Marie Osmond is on a commercial right now. Haha my friends were so nice to do that. Pretty funny!
~Heres a good one. In 6th grade we had a Valentine's Dance. It was about...oh half way through the dance. My teacher comes to the microphone and says something like "......All the way from Provo and Hollywood, this song is dedicated to Annie Cowden!" And she played Puppy Love at the dance. Just for me. That was the big surprise of the dance! It was amazing... I think I might of cried.
~Can you imagine my reaction when Donny won Dancing with the stars? My phone was overloading with text messages like "Annie I bet you're so happy!"
~Heres one! This one was just recently, AFTER I met him. But here is the thing, this girl went to my school in 5th grade, but then she moved to Texas. We hadn't really talked at all. She still had my number apparently because she said " Annie!!!! You're Life Dream has come true! I bet you are on cloud 9!" Stuff like that. I was like Was I really that big a fan in 5th grade for you to remember?
One way or another, if people know me, they know I am an Osmond fan. I have more stories, but I will be done now.

Busy
So lately I have been just a tad bit busy. It's really stressing me out! I am in two plays, after school choir, dance classes, piano, voice, Young Women, +homework! Both of my plays are getting really close to show time, so my school play has been having rehersals from after school until 5:30, then I have my other stuff. Some days of the week I have to leave rehersal and go to dance, then go to piano. Oh yeah! And I had strep throat last week, and I had to miss 3 days of school. So on top of all that, I have TONS of make up work. I have to read a 290 page book by Thursday night and then right a Literary Analaysis on it. Yipee! Its just March that is going to be super stressful. Because my school play is next weekend and then the week after that, rehersal for CATS is every day and goes really late. Guess this is what I get for doing so much stuff...and procrastinating on my book! I guess the real question is why am I blogging????
